The BankID app offers a secure and convenient way to verify your identity, authorize payments, and electronically sign documents. It meets all official security requirements and can be utilized for a range of purposes:
- Logging in to public services and banks
- Electronic signing of legally binding documents
- Confirming online payments
With the BankID app, you no longer need to rely on one-time passwords from your code device or confirmations using BankID on mobile. Instead, you can conveniently approve requests directly within the app. The BankID app operates in conjunction with your social security number and personal password.
To get started, you'll need to obtain a BankID certificate issued by a participating bank. Currently, only individuals with BankID from specific banks can activate the BankID app*. You can verify where your BankID is issued by visiting bankid.no/privat.
